🍂The Autumn Equinox🍂

Balance, Harvest & the Turning of the Wheel
There is a moment each year when the world seems to pause.
The warmth of summer begins to soften. The evenings arrive a little sooner. Leaves trade their green for gold, amber, and crimson, and the garden begins its quiet retreat.
Then comes the Autumn Equinox—a beautiful threshold between seasons, when the days and nights are nearly equal in length.
For those who walk a magical path, the Equinox can be more than simply the first marker of autumn. It can become a moment of reflection, gratitude, release, and balance.
It is the time to stand between the light and the dark and remember:
Neither can exist without the other.

🌾 The Agricultural Magic of Autumn🌾

Autumn is deeply connected to harvest.

Throughout the growing season, seeds have been planted, tended, watered, protected, and patiently nurtured. By autumn, the results of that work begin to reveal themselves.

Fields are harvested and gardens are gathered.

Herbs are dried and stored. Seeds are saved for another year.

The abundance of summer is carefully preserved so it can sustain us through the colder months.

The harvest reminds us that growth requires patience.

You cannot plant a seed today and demand a forest tomorrow.

Some things must be tended quietly for weeks, months, or even years before we can see what they have become.

And perhaps our own lives work the same way.

Sometimes we are planting. Sometimes we are growing. Sometimes we are harvesting.

And sometimes we are simply resting beneath the soil, preparing for the next season.

🕯️ The Spiritual Harvest🕯️

The physical harvest gives us another kind of harvest to consider:

What have you grown this year?

Not just crops.
Not just accomplishments.
But you.
Perhaps you have grown stronger.
Perhaps you've learned to say no.
Perhaps you've become more patient.
Maybe you've healed something you once thought would always hurt.
Maybe you've started something new.
Maybe you've survived something difficult.
These things deserve to be gathered, too.
Take a moment this Equinox to look backward. Think about the intentions you planted earlier in the year.
Which ones took root? Which ones are still growing? Which ones didn't grow at all?
And which dreams have transformed into something completely different? There is no failure in discovering that a seed wasn't meant for your garden.
Sometimes part of the harvest is realizing what we are no longer meant to carry forward.

🌿 Bringing Balance Into Everyday Life🌿

Balance doesn't have to live only on your altar.

It can become something you practice every day. Give yourself permission to stop.

Rest is not laziness. Nature itself rests.

🕯️ Balance giving with receiving

🌿 Balance productivity with presence

🍂 Balance holding on with letting go

⚖️ Balance solitude with connection

🌱 Balance dreaming with doing

As autumn deepens, the world will gradually become quieter.
The garden will retreat.
The trees will release their leaves.
The nights will grow longer.
And eventually, winter will arrive.
But there is no need to rush toward the darkness.
For now, simply stand at the threshold.
Feel the warmth of the fading summer sun.
Notice the first chill of autumn air.
Gather what you've grown.
The Autumn Equinox reminds us that we are always moving between these two places.

Not finding a perfect middle, but learning to move gracefully with the turning of the Wheel.
